AfricaRecruit was formally launched in 2002, as an offshoot of www.findajobinafrica.com that was established in 1999. AfricaRecruit is a mobilization programme of The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), The Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Business Council. AfricaRecruit has been at the forefront of mobilising skills and human resource capacity in and outside of Africa since 2002.

AfricaRecruit is an innovative service delivery vehicle with its focus on capacity building through human resources, using its various networks within and outside Africa. For example, AfricaRecruit raises global awareness about the need for human resource development in Africa by addressing the continent’s brain drain and advocates for policies that help to develop Africa’s human recourse capacity.

People In Aid is a global network of development and humanitarian assistance agencies. We help organisations whose goal is the relief of poverty and suffering to enhance the impact they make through better management and support of staff and volunteers.

The impact and effectiveness of relief and development operations depend on the quality of staff and volunteers and the support an agency gives them. Our very practical output can help agencies enhance that quality.

We respond to the needs of members and the sector by acting as an information exchange on good human resources and people management practice, by facilitating networking and by providing resources, by undertaking research and by answering queries.
